Part 3

His eyes opened again. He found himself in his room, in their room where they used to sit together, play together, study together. It seemed everything was over, everything was normal again. He thought it was just a bad dream. He saw her beside him — finally, everything was normal. He woke her up and hugged her. She didn’t utter a word, as if she already knew everything. But does it matter now? It was just them, in a normal world. He took her to that café again, their favorite one. Everything was so fine. Everything. They came back, played games on his console. Their friends also called and asked how they were doing. It didn’t seem like they knew anything. They were just normal, like other days. He thought everything was normal — because it was. But something was still missing. Her. Yes, everything seemed normal except her. She didn’t utter a word. She only smiled, looking into his eyes, like she knew everything, everything that had happened. He finally asked her why she wasn’t talking. She replied, “Am I still yours? Do I still exist?” Everything felt cold, unreal, foggy again to him.She stood still, looking straight into his eyes. He saw the lamp on the table. It was… half black? Like a computer glitch, a black screen. Everything became black. Everything. Only him and her, standing in a black space — like only they existed in this universe and nothing else. -—
